AMAZON-BRAZIL
Our Commitment to the Amazon and Its People
Since the beginning of our operations in 2015, Amazon Xplor has believed that protecting the Amazon also means investing in the people who call it home. Over the years, we have built much more than a world-class sport fishing destination—we have helped create opportunities, strengthen local communities, and contribute to the region's economic growth.
Our team is made up primarily of professionals from the Amazon region. Today, Amazon Xplor employs more than 100 people directly, and during the construction and expansion of our facilities, that number exceeded 150 local workers. By creating jobs, developing talent, and investing in local people, we help support countless families throughout the region.
The construction of our lodge was carried out using 100% legally sourced timber, with full documentation and complete compliance with Brazilian environmental regulations. None of the wood used in our facilities was extracted from our local operating area, reflecting our commitment to preserving the natural environment while ensuring responsible and transparent development.

River Conservation
Protecting the Arirarrá River is another core value of our operation. Throughout the year, we actively help safeguard this unique fishery by discouraging illegal fishing activities, preventing predatory practices whenever possible, and working to keep unauthorized fishing camps away from the areas that make this ecosystem so special. Our goal is to preserve the river's exceptional fishery for future generations while maintaining a healthy balance between tourism, conservation, and local communities.
Community Empowerment
Beyond employment, we actively support community initiatives and social projects that improve the quality of life for local residents. Our operation also generates significant economic activity across Barcelos, Manaus, and surrounding communities by working with local suppliers, service providers, transportation companies, and businesses that are essential to our operation.

Every guest who visits Amazon Xplor becomes part of this positive impact. More than experiencing some of the finest peacock bass fishing in the world, our guests help support a project that is committed to local communities, responsible tourism, sustainable economic development, and the long-term conservation of the Amazon.
"To us, sustainability goes beyond environmental conservation. It means creating opportunities, empowering local communities, operating with integrity, and ensuring that the growth of Amazon Xplor continues to generate lasting benefits for both the people and the rainforest we are privileged to call home."
